For makers who slice outside vendor software

Watch every print.
Know every cost.

Spoolside is the dashboard Bambu doesn't make for you. Live print status, per-print cost tracking, and a tiny plug-and-play device that watches your printer 24/7 — designed for makers who slice in Orca instead of Bambu Studio.

No Bambu cloud required · LAN-only telemetry · Cancel anytime
Works with Every Bambu Lab · Creality K1 / K2 · Voron · Modded Enders · Anycubic Kobra · Any Klipper printer
Built for makers

The visibility your A1 should have shipped with.

Four things Spoolside gets right that nothing else does, if you live outside the Bambu Studio walled garden.

Live

See it spin, from anywhere.

The dashboard updates every few seconds. Big dial, tabular numerics, layer count and temps. Built mobile-first so you can glance at it from the couch — or from a meeting.

  • 4-second poll · no streaming overhead
  • Layer count, temps, ETA, error codes
  • Works on phones, tablets, laptops

Cost intelligence

Know what every print actually costs.

Set your filament price, electricity rate, and machine hourly rate once. Spoolside computes the cost for every print — and the running lifetime total — automatically.

  • Per-print cost: filament + electricity + machine time
  • Lifetime spend across all printers, in your currency
  • Filter the log by success / failed to track real ROI

Hardware

One tiny box, plugged in once.

The Spoolside device is a thumb-sized box that watches your printer in the background — no computer to keep running, no Python script to maintain. Plug in USB-C, pair with your phone in a minute, and never think about it again.

  • Always-on — sleeps when your laptop does, the device keeps going
  • Pairs from any phone (iPhone or Android) — no app required
  • Color status LED — green printing, orange idle, red if there's a problem
  • Factory reset built in — re-pair when you change Wi-Fi or move

Multi-printer

One account, every printer.

Run a one-A1 desk or a ten-A1 print farm — Spoolside scales. The sidebar lists every machine; click between them. Costs are tracked per printer so you know which one's eating your filament.

  • Up to 10 printers on a single account
  • Independent cost models — different rates per machine
  • Sidebar shows live status for every printer at once

Setup in 5 minutes

Three steps to a connected printer.

Spoolside runs in the cloud. A tiny local agent on a machine in your LAN talks to the printer and forwards telemetry. No ports opened on your router.

Step 01

Pick a plan, get an account.

Sign up below. We email you a one-time install token and a download for the local agent (Mac, Linux, Windows, or Pi).

Step 02

Pair your printer.

Install the agent on a machine that stays on. Paste your install token, plus the printer's serial and LAN access code from Settings → WLAN.

Step 03

Open Spoolside, anywhere.

Log in on your phone or laptop. The dial spins, prints log, costs tally. Add more printers from the sidebar whenever.

Simple, monthly

Pay for what you connect.

One price per printer slot, billed monthly. Cancel anytime. Annual billing is coming — meanwhile we keep the monthly price tight.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Do I need Bambu Studio or Creality Print?
Nope. That's the point. Spoolside talks directly to your printer over the LAN — Bambu's MQTT or Klipper's Moonraker WebSocket. You can slice in Orca, PrusaSlicer, or hand-roll G-code; Spoolside doesn't care what made the file.
What does the local agent do, exactly?
The agent sits on your LAN, listens to your printer's status reports, and forwards them over HTTPS to your Spoolside account. You can run it as a tiny Python process on a Mac, Pi, or any always-on machine — or skip the computer entirely and use the Spoolside hardware device, which is purpose-built for this. Either way, no ports are opened on your router; the agent only makes outbound connections.
Does my printer need internet access?
Your printer only needs to be reachable on your LAN. The agent (running on a Mac, a Pi, or any always-on machine on the same network) is the only thing that touches the internet. You can keep the printer fully air-gapped from Bambu's cloud.
Can I self-host the dashboard?
Yes — the dashboard is open source at github.com/imgera/blab-a1. Deploy it to your own Laravel Forge server and run the agent against it. Spoolside (the paid service) takes care of hosting, backups, and updates so you don't have to.
When's the desktop app coming?
The Python CLI agent works today on every macOS, Linux, and Raspberry Pi we've tested. A native desktop app (Mac + Windows) is in development — it'll auto-update and run quietly in the menu bar / system tray. Maker and Duo plans get it free.
Which printers are supported?
Every Bambu Lab printer (A1, A1 Mini, P1P, P1S, X1 Carbon, X1E, H2D) and every printer running Klipper with Moonraker exposed — that's Creality K1 / K1 Max / K2, Voron, RatRig, Anycubic Kobra series, Elegoo Centauri series, and modded Enders / CR-10s.
Cancellation, refunds?
Cancel from your account at any time. We refund the full month if you cancel in the first 14 days — no questions asked.
